I want to improve on my CG skills.I'm trying to achieve a soft feel for my art.However,I seem to produce artworks which look plain and dull I think the problem is that my shading is not effective.I also have a few questions:

1.What brush do you use to paint? E.g Airbrush or paintbrush? (for Photoshop)


2.I've read tutorials saying that masking should be used to avoid the white background blending with the light colors. How to use masking?Does this mean the background should be deleted?



I hope anyone out there can share a few tips on how to CG and comment on my artwork.I welcome any criticisms ^^ You can also share your experience on CG-ing ^^
